Karkala; Dec 16: A special programme by Karkala legislators “Legislators near people” was held in Sanoor village panchayat’s Suvarna Soudha under the presidentship of Karunakara.S.Kotian, president of village panchayat.
During the occasion by distributing BPL ration cards to the eligible benefactors and said that this was the programme of receiving the grievances of people by approaching them directly and assured that all the demands of the people will be fulfilled step by step in instalments.They also announced Rs 5 lac grant-in-aid for the application of tar on Sanoor Kenchanabettu connecting road and Rs 5 lac for the application of tar on Paddayigudde SC/ST colony road respectively from their legislators fund.
In the programme members of district panchayat, standing committee president Udaya.S.Kotian, Village panchayat vice president Rekha Kotian, members like Yuvaraj Jain, Bhaskara Acharya, panchayat development officer Balakrishna Shenoy, Vishwanatha.B.Shetty, Chandrahasa Poojary and Prasad B were present.
