Karkala; Dec 02: Participating in the massive protest meet organized under the leadership of Belthangady Prajaprabhuthva Vedhike and Bajagoli zone Prajaprabhuthva Vedhike in connection with Sowjanya murder case, Kemaru Swamiji said in his address that our struggle is not against any individual, Mutt, holy and religious place or any religion.
Our fight is for the arrest of actual culprits and for their harsh punishment, who have gang raped and murdered barbarically, the innocent Sowjanya.
After stepping into the struggle, I had to listen many harsh and sarcastic talks, criticism from many quarters and even asked and questioned me to remove my saffron cloth. But I will continue my fight with my saffron cloth and will not give up my struggle under any pressure or any influence, Swamiji challenged.
Participating in the protest, Kusumavathi, the mother of deceased Sowjanya alleged that police department is trying to protect and save the real culprits of my daughter’s murder. She further said that I sacrificed my whole life in order to raise my daughter, I loved her and I gave her food, cloth and good education but she fell victim of grandiosity of miscreants. When we are fighting for the case to be handed over to CBI, some people are trying to level libel suit against me and my supporters and thereby trying to sabotage the case, she expressed her agony.
In Dharmasthala a total of 462 cases of unnatural deaths have been registered during the last ten years. She urged the authorities to hand over all the cases to CBI under Supreme Court’s order and stupor test to be conducted on the people who have protected real accused of Sowjanya’s murder like then SI Yogeesh, SP and doctor who conducted post- mortem examination, then only real fact will come out, she opined.
Mahesh Timarody, a struggler while speaking said that though more than one month has been passed after state government’s assurance to handover the case to CBI, no progress has been observed.Second part of Britsh autocracy is being happening in Dharmasthala now. He further said that under any circumstance, there is no question of stepping back from this struggle, come, whatever may be. We cannot fight through money power but might of the people is necessary, he said sarcastically to the people who have teased them.
Athrady Amratha shetty, while talking on the occasion said that in order to avail justice to Sowjanya, all the organizations should struggle, fight untidily, peacefully and then definitely justice will be availed to Sowjanya, if Annapa Panjurli deity is there, he said.
