Mangalore, Nov. 29: “Speed up developmental works of Naxal affected areas in Belthangady. Sanctioned projects should be taken up for implementation. Work under progress should be completed without further delay,” said Dr.N.Prakash, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada District.
He spoke at the meeting to review the developments undertaken in Naxal affected areas on Friday, November 29.
The DC set a deadline of December 31for the completing the construction of over bridges. “The work undertaken should be flawless. Higher officials will be sent for inspection.”DC added.
“The developmental works in Naxal affected areas will be undertaken in three phases. As many as 44 developmental works will be implemented in these areas at an estimated expenditure of Rs.481 lacs. Of the total sanctioned money the Government has already released Rs.437 lac. The implementing officers have spent Rs. 141 lac. Projects such as Anganwadi building construction, minor bridge construction, connecting road construction, concretization of road, drainage construction etc will be undertaken.
Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat Tulasi Madineni, Shanthanu Sinha, SP, Dayananand, and Additional Deputy Commissioner were present.
