Udupi; Nov 19: Participating in the Uliyaragoli’panchayat’s development progress review, various projects’ utility and BPL ration card distribution programme, Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge said in his speech that as promised I have visited panchayat once in three months and for the eligible people government’s various utility items are being given at your door step under one roof.
He further said that responsibility of distribution of government’s various facilities for eligible people is being carried out efficiently and in order to avoid people visiting pillar to post, post to pillar, the facilities are being distributed at Panchayat level only. Receipts of applications and solutions for the problems will be provided properly at the place only, at the proper time.
Keeping in mind the welfare of the poor, all the measures for the implementation/execution of government projects are being undertaken at district level.
He also said that as promised last time grant-in-aid for the roads within panchayat limit has been kept reserved. An appropriate measure will be taken for APL/BPL problem. He assured that health facility, infrastructures, power under Rajiv Gandhi electrification project, approval of monthly pension, distribution of utilities under Manasvini project will be provided. The problem of ownership letter and construction of houses in 10 cents land will be resolved soon. A scheme for the conversion of Kaup into taluk centre and Uliyaragoli panchayat as town panchayat will be implemented soon.
In the programme BPL ration card for 107 people,monthly pension for 18 people have been distributed.Facilities from horticulture department and women and children welfare department have been distributed.
Pradeep, President of panchayat, taluk panchayat executive officer Shree Manujunathayya, Udupi tahsildar Guruprasad, authorities from various departments and other eminent personalities and dignitaries were present in the programme.
