Udupi; Nov 19: After inaugurating the ‘Indira Gandhi’s birthday celebration’ programme organized under the auspices of district women’s congress samiti on Nov 19, Tuesday in congress Bhavan, Gopal Bhandary, former Karkala MLA said in his address that Indira Gandhi was the one who, by amending constitution, the right of the ands was given to tenants (farmers) and fought for national unity and integrity.
