Neermarga communal clash: Hindu samrakshana vedike demands arrest of the culprits

Mangalore, Nov 6: Demanding to arrest the criminals of communal clash occurred at Mallur in Neermarga the members of Hindu Samrakshana Vedike staged protest in front of the Mangalore rural police station on November 6, Wednesday.

Giving a challenge of five days to the police to arrest the culprits, the Vedike said that if the police fail arrest within given day, then the organization will call a Neermarga bundh followed by district-level stir coupled with Mangalore bundh soon.

 Harish Moodushedde the president of Taluk panchayat said that Let police do their duty in arresting the criminals, if not we will catch the culprits and hand them over to the police.

Some political leaders from the region are protecting the culprits, this shows that the state and the central governments are purely anti- Hindu’s he added.

VHP leader Jagadish Shenava said, protest which was proposed to be organized a little while ago was held on Wednesday due to the festive season

If the atrocities on the Hindu community increase in coming days, the police department will be directly responsible for the act Jagadish warned.

Leaders Sharan Pumpwell, Kumar Malemar, Jeethendra Kottary, Veerappa Moodushedde, Pradeep Pumpwell, Puneeth Pumpwell, Bhujanga Kulal along with activists of VHP, Bajarang Dal, Sri Ram Sene, Hindu Yuva Sene and others were present.
