Kundapur; Oct 22: Addressing the press reporters in the press meet held on Oct 22, Tuesday at Kundapur Pathrika Bhavan, B.M.Sukumara Shetty, President of Byndoor BJP Kshetra Samiti, said in his address that in view of India’s future Narendra Modi’s breeze is blowing across India. Every citizen of India is hoping for Modi to be the next prime minister of India. That is why, in all the booths and nook and corner of the villages, Modi’s banners and cut-outs are being displayed with great respect. But destruction of these banners and cut-outs are reported uninterruptedly, he said.
He further said that well planned conspiracy is being taking place continuously to spoil the love and faith, which is condemned. With the well organized conspiracy, by safeguarding the actual accused in banner, cut-out destruction case and registering false case against BJP workers, an atmosphere of anarchy is being created.
He further said that though banners and cut- outs are being displayed with due permission of village panchayat, some miscreants are exhibiting their wickedness with vested interest.
Under the circumstances, police department by conducting impartial investigation, action should be taken only against actual culprits. In case, the attitudes of the miscreants continue like this we may have to resort to people’s agitation and start voluntary starving in the police station.
Demand for NH repair:-NH 66 from Kundapur to shirur has been damaged completely, resulting the movement of the people become difficult. the conditions of the rural people who are coming to Kundapur city for receiving treatment in hospitals, office goers, business people and students is highly deplorable. In Byndoor Vidhana Sabha constituencies only the conditions of the roads have become very miserable.
It is highly regrettable that still the matter has not been brought to the attention of Oscar Fernzndez, union minister for highways and surface roads. The issue of highways should be brought to the attention of union minister by the elected representatives of the region. In case, if they don’t start the highway works immediately, a fierce protest will be staged, he warned
Demand for town panchayat: In the interest of the progress of the region and to increase the grant-in-aid from the government, Sukumara Shetty has requested the minister for urban development and district in charge to make Byndoor and Yadthare panchayat to municipal or town panchayat and he promised that feelings of the people will be considered.
K.B.Shetty, BJP spokesman, Byndoor, Pushparaj Shetty, President of yuva Morcha, Sadananda Uppinakudru were present in the meet.
He further said that it is highly commendable that the legislator has tried to get grant-in-aid of Rs 175 crore for the developmental works of the region. But about the details of this grant-in-aid, projects approved and details of the projects completed etc has not been published. He requested the authorities concerned to release the details of the works completed, approved and expenditure met. Projects should be implemented transparently by inviting tenders, he said.
