Mangalore, Oct. 21: The former Harishchandra, DySP in the office of IGP (western range), took charge as the superintendent of police (SP) of Mescom vigilance department.

The programme held at the Mescom office near AB Shetty CircleCircle Monday Oct 21,.

Mescom vigilance DySP Vinay Gaonkar handed over the charge, as outgoing SP P V Suresh has already taken charge as DSP of Sagar.

DySP Vinay Gaonkar welcomed the new SP and gave a brief introduction on the functioning of the vigilance department.

“Mescom has given us all facilities. New SP Harishchandra has good experience in the police department. As he is new to Mescom, he will soon pick up,”he added.

SP Harishchandra said, “I have served in various fields in the police department like the Anti-Naxal Force, police training school, and as DySP etc. Now I have been chosen to serve as the SP of Mescom vigilance department. With only a year left for my retirement, I will do my best to serve the people.”

Ram Raj, executive engineer, Mescom, Shantharam, DK inspector, T R Jayashankar, Udupi inspector, Nagaraj, Shimoga inspector, M V Mallapur, Chikmagalur inspector among others were present on the occasion.
