Mangalore, Oct 21:”The new district office will come up soon in D.K. The charge of construction of Congress office has been given to Minister Ramanath Rai said KPCC president Dr Parameshwar.

Speaking to media persons at district Congress office, he said, “The plan will be chalked out and foundation stone for the new office will be laid in a month. The executive committee meeting held under the guidance of AICC is a new change introduced by the party, wherein AICC and KPCC members will also be a part.”

The main agenda of this is to give importance to developmental works of the district and to solve party problems he said

Parameshwar further said that we will appeal to the CM to take necessary steps under law so that mayors are appointed in corporations soon.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has sanctioned Rs 20 crore for this district to those farmers who suffered losses due to fruit rot disease in arecanut plantations, he said, “We also asked the central government to take necessary steps in this regard.”

Commenting on the evaluation of the works of the party, Dr Parameshwar said the process will be undertaken soon. “It is mainly to ensure accountability and it is one process which Congress believes in for maintaining transparency,” he added.

AICC secretary Selva Kumar, district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai, minister K Abhayachandra Jain, KPCC vice-president Muniyappa, secretary Bosraj, secretaries Gaffur, Narayan Rao, Ivan D’Souza among others were present.
