Kasargod, Oct. 18: Kasargod police have arrested six students for defaming the doctor of a private hospital through Facebook and mobile application Whatsapp.
The arrested have been identified as Asans Shabir (18) from Vidhyanagar Chettunguli, Nehla Mohiddin (18) from Chemnad Aramangana, Nabil Musil (18) from Uduma and three under students below 18 years of age.
They have been booked under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
Police said that the students made fake allegations that the doctor was conducting hysterectomies to all the female patients without their notice. There are many more arrests that need to be conducted in connection to this case”, said police officials.
