101st Celebration of Dasara

Kudroli temple the hundred and one year’s Celebration (1912 – 2013), is the center of attraction during the Navarathri festival. The Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple was built in the year 1912 by Sri Narayana Guru.

This year speciality of Navaratri at Kudroli Temple is the initiator of renovation of temple and senior Congress leader and the former Union Minister B. Janardhan Poojary appointed 2 widows as the priest of the temple. The ‘Mangalore Dasara 2013’  was inaugurated by Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr Veerendra Heggade.

Grand Procession on Oct. 14:

The grand procession of Nava Durga’s will pass through Maryhill, Lalbagh, Ballalbagh, PVS, Navabharat Circle, K S Rao Road, Hampankatta and move towards Car Street and Alake with electrifying tableaus. It will culminate at Kudroli Temple where the idols will be immersed in the morning.
