Karkala; Oct 05: On account of Gandhi Jayati a ‘special discourse’ programme was organized in Chara Jawaharlal Navodaya institute in Hebri.
Programe was commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp and offering flower petals and garland on the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.
K.V.Suresh, principal of the institute has presided over the function.B.C.Rao, Shivapura, who came as special speaker has given a extensive lecture about the Gandhi principles truth, peace, non-violence and equality.
Staff and students of the institution have participated in the special lecture programme.
Gururaj, institute’s professor welcomed the gathering.Ramesh Nayak, lecturer proposed a vote of thanks. After the discourse Bhajan and group songs programmes by the students were held on the occasion.
