Vittal, Oct. 4: The sportsmen should use their talent for the development of the country along with their own progress said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
He spoke after inaugurating the State Level sub junior boy and girls Kabaddi Championship -2013, jointly organized by Karnataka State, Dakshina Kannada District and Bantwal Taluk Ameture Kabaddi association and VRC Vitla on Friday, Oct.4.
He further said that through Kabaddi Mamatha Poojary of DK gained name and fame in internation level. The government and private institutions should support the kabaddi players.
Puttur MLA Shakunthala Shetty presided over the function. Farmer MLA of Vittal K.M Ibrahim did the flag hoisting. The president of Vittal gram panchayath Bhavani Rai inaugurate the sports ground. State health minister U.T Kadhar , Hanumanthe Gauda, M.S. Mohammad, Shailaja K.T. Bhat and other members were present at the programme.
The kabaddi players from Udupi, Kolara, Gadag, Belgum, Mandya, Kodagu, Uthar Kannada,Daangere, Bangalore, Bangalore Rural, Tumkur, Bagalkote, Bijapur, hitradrga, Haveri district were participated in the event.
