Karkala; Oct 04 : Launching the three days ‘Moral and philosophical’ camp in Karkala Bhuvanendra college, Swami Shree Jitakamanandaji,president of Mangalore Ramakrishna Aashrama said in his speech that moral and philosophical values are very important for better our life. Life is not one-way traffic but it is two way traffic.If everybody adopts values in their life, personality of an individual develops, he said.
‘Aadyatma’ (philosophy/spirituality) is not the one, which is available in the temple. That is within us. One of the precious gifts given by the god to human being is mind.
Aadyatma (philosophy) is nothing but taking mind to Aatma (soul) by controlling the mind. This is being taught by moral and spiritual values. We should always keep the mind under our control but never be the slave of your mind, he added.
Prof.Panduranga Nayak, principal of Degree College welcomed the audience, Devidas Nayak, convener of the camp, has given a introductory speech. Ramesh.S.C, principal, pre-degree college proposed a vote of thanks, Dr.Manjunath Kotian compered the programme.
