Mangalore, Sept. 30: The activists of DYFI Unit of Urva Store staged protest at Urva store Junction on September 30, Monday for the control of rising price and demanding equal price rate system for food at hotels.
Addressing the protest Imthiyaz, president of DYFI Mangalore said that today in our district the price of the foods at hotels, restaurants increasing day by day. In every hotel the owners keep the rate which is comfortable to them.
The price hike of foods causes problems to the students, labours, the drivers of auto and buses and other peoples who depend on the hotels he said.
He further said that the district administration should take appropriate action towards every hotels and restaurants of D.K to control the price rate by receiving the details of the rate. The DC also should take action towards this he urged.
President of Urva Store unit Manoj Kumar and president of women unit spoke on this. The leaders of DYFI Santhosh Bajal;, Naveen Konchadi, secretary Prashanth and other activists participated in the protest.
