Mangalore Students Successfully Cleared NTSE

Mangalore, Sep 25: Three students trained at Centre for Advanced Learning Kuntikan, Mangalore have successfully cleared the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE 2012-13).

Addressing media here on Wednesday Severine Rosario, the Principal of the centre said that Adarsh Somayaji of Canara High School Urva, Pulkit Sareen of Delhi Public School and Sneha Mahajan NITK School have qualified in the national level NTSE.

A total of 1035 students have been selected this year from the country. These students are called National Talent Scholars. They will be eligible for a scholarship of Rs.500/-per month from 1st PUC until they finish their Ph.d.

This year, 50711 students had appeared for the State level NTSE Exam from Karnataka. The Department of State Education and Research Training (DSERT) had selected 223 students from among them through a competitive examination she added.
