Mangalore, Sep 17: The KUDCEMP Pase2 will be implemented in Mangalore The state government has allotted 522 cores for this said state Urban Development district in-minister Sri Vinay Kumar Sorake.
Speaking to the reporters in the “interaction with the media” session held in the press club of Mangalore he said.
He also said that the restrictions of the NURM project have been released and it will be implemented in Mangalore and Udupi. This project will aim at providing transportation within the city and will aim at running world class buses in the city.
The minister further said that Urban development department is a very sensitive portfolio; many have been put behind bars for their involvement in illegal activities in the department in de notification cases. Hence, the department has decided to stop de notification and change of plans,. He also said that steps would be taken to upgrade Tumkur, Shimoga and Gulbarga into city corporations.
He also said that he alomg with the other three ministers of the coastal region will submit a memorandum to the CM to confer Karnataka Ratna Award to eminent writer, scholar and Kannada activist Kayyara Kinhanna Rai.
