Udupi: Census begins for migrated labour’s children

Udupi; September 03: In both Gangolli and Malpe bunder areas, children of migrated labor’s children are spending their childhood by engaging themselves in fishing activities and in order to bring them in the main stream of the education by avoiding this, voluntary Census programe of the migrated labor’s children has been undertaken in labor’s colony.


Dr Keshava Koteshwara, CEO of Spoorthidhama has inaugurated the census programme.

In the rehabilitation  programme of children who are involved in fishing activities and begging,Rotaryclub Thekkatte,Udipi district taximen association.Milagress social service,Kalyanpur,Manipal University social service department,Manipal Dr A V Baliga college of social science and rural development Haradi,Udupi,Smt Rukmini Shedthi memorial national government first grade college, social service department Barkur,St Marry’s college. Social service department Shirva Udupi,Government college social service department,Thenkanidiyur Udupi and among others were present.
