Kundapur; Sept 02: An incident of murder attempt by gang of four people has been reported on Sept 02, Monday late night near Kundapur fish market. It was believed that old enmity was the reason behind the attack.
Jayachandra, aged 34, resident of fish market was the victim of the assault. He was doing real estate business and was staying with his wife in a rented room. Severely injured Jayachandra has been admitted in Manipal KMC hospital.
Details of the incident:- Jayachandra,who was doing real estate business ,had many enemies in the business and was staying near Kidnaper’s fish market with his wife in a rented room. The four member gang, who were watching Jayachandra’s movements, attacked him while he was on his way to his room in the night with swords and sickles resulting serious injuries on his legs and hands and blood was profusely oozing from the injured parts of his body. Upon seeing the timely arrival of people from the locality, the attackers fled the place and Jayachandra was taken first to Kundapur private hospital then shifted to Manipal hospital for treatment.
Personal enmity is the reason behind the attack?:-The victim,Jayachandra has informed the police that on personal enmity a man has attacked him(name not disclosed).There were minor clashes, verbal exchanges ,misunderstandings were happening often , between these two people. Heavy bandhobust has been made and police have been deployed to ensure that no further untoward incidents take place.
Police have taken under their custody Jayachandra’s bike, wrist watch and shoes. The case has been registered in Kundapur police station in this regard.
