Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Email Udupi; August 30: It is learnt that Manipal Gang Rape case has been transferred to District Sessions Court from Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court on Friday, August 30. The Judicial custody of all the five accused has been extended until further notice. The Manipal Gang Rape case prime accused Yogish Poojary, Hariprasad Poojary and Anand were produced to court. Harindra and Balachandra involved in destroying the evidences were also produced to the court. Sadananda Tippanavar, CPI Manipal accompanied the accused to the District Court. Chandrashekar, Additional Civil Judge of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court transferred the case to B M Angadi, Judge, District Sessions Court for trial purpose. Bannadi Raju Poojary, Assistant Public Prosecutor said that the case is liable to District Sessions Court. The Jail authorities have been directed to produce the accused whenever intimation will be sent to them. The accused will be sent to respective jails as earlier, he added.
