Karkala; August 28: On behalf of Hiriadka Brahmashree Narayan Guru Seva sangha, 159th Gurujayanthi celebration and Malple Raghavendra’s award giving ceremony was held at Jaya c suvarna Ranga Mantap.
While speaking after awarding the prizes Vinaya Kumar Sorake,minister for urban development and district in charge said in his address that for the development of Hiriadka,the birth place of Koti-Chennaya,government has released 5 crore and work of the same will be started very soon, he said.
Pramodh Madhwaraj, MLA has inaugurated the programme.Sangha’s president Raghavendra has presided over the function. Journalist stage artist Paramananda Salian has been conferred with Gurushree prashasthi.
Vinaya Kumar Sorake,minister for urban development, Pramodh Madhwaraj,MLA,Sandhya Narayan Kotian couple, donor for Annadhana and sound system have been felicitated on the occasion and scholarship for the talented students has also been distributed on the occasion.
