MANGALORE: The Mata AmritanandamayiSevaSamiti here come up with a special publicity vehicle that will herald the life and works of spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi to general public and her devotees at large. N VinayaHegde, Chancellor of Nitte University will flag off the van on the premises of AmritaVidyalaya at Boloor here on August 18. This van will traverse all over the three coastal district and Goa, up to September 16.
Sanath Hegde, honourary president of the Samiti told reporters here that the specially designed vehicle will have facility to show the message of the spiritual leader, her socio-economic and other educational initiatives for the betterment of society. The video show will be of one hour duration, he said, adding the first show of this VCD will be held at Panambur beach on Sunday when the publicity vehicle reaches there after its flag off here.
The publicity vehicle will traverse via Thokkottu, Deralakatte, Ullal, Vittla, Puttur, Sullia, Subrahmanya, Uppinangady, B C Road, Bantwal, Guruvayanakere, Belthangady, Ujire, Dharmasthala, Vamanjoor, Kaikamba, Moodbidri, Sasthan, Kundapur, Baindoor, Shiroor, and places in Uttara Kannada district and Goa. The local Mata Amritanandamyi seva samitis will made arrangements to receive the vehicle at the respective places.
Stating that the publicity vehicle is being taken out to commemorate the spiritual leader’s 60 thbirthday, Dr Jeevaraj Sorake, another honourary president of the seva samiti said the grand finale will be held at Amritapuri in Kerala from September 25 to 27.
