Bantwal, Aug 16: An unmarried youth Mohammad Irshad (23), from Nandavara in Panemangalore of bantwal taluk had met with road accident in Saudi Arabia.
The deceased was son of Abdul Hameed.
On August 5, Irshad was moved for work in a cargo transport vehicle but later he was reported missing. His mobile phone was also switched off and it is said that he did not even get in contact with his family and friends.
The family was unable to contact his working place because it was shut on the occasion of Ramzan. But after the Ramzan he moved to company office, but family received a fax stating that their vehicle had met with an accident. The accident took place when another vehicle collided head-on with Irshad moving truck and in the accident other vehicle driver, who was from Syria, also lost his life, according the sources.
He was working in the Dubai fron 35 years and among his three brothers, Irshad was the eldest one. He went abroad three-and-a-half years ago for work. Initially, for two years he worked in Doha and later shifted to Saudi where he was working as a driver. Irshad was planning to come back next month to attend his uncles wedding.
Every arrangement is being done to bring the body back to India, said relatives.
