Mangalore/ Sullia, August 8: Academy of liberal education’s founder president Kurunji Venkataramana Gowda’s funeral procession moved from Sullia city and performed the last ritual at kurunji.
Thousands of people gathered to give the last respect to him at Nehru memorial hall in the morning. On Wednesday incharge minister B Ramanatha Rai and health minister U. T Khader visited Kurunji’s house and paid last respect to him.
Legislative Assembly former president K. G. Bopayya, Legislative Council opposite party leader D V Sadananda Gowda, former union minister b Janardhana poojary, Palanatha Swamji and father Mukkuyi were present.
