Mangalore, August 9: Though Dakshina Kannada is educated district, there is necessary to give the awareness about disposal of waste through waste dividence and using of waste to educated people, hence let it begin from the school said district Zilla Panchayat CEO Thulasi Maddineni.
She was speaking in the meet organised by district water and cleanness committee, she checked the maintenance report and said that though district has achieved many awards for cleanness, but waste management became a major problem and there requirement of education. In the present situation everything is a valuable, even wastages also. Throwing wastages as their wish will be problematic to the society, she said.
‘There is require of proper work to disposal of wastes, hence concerned officials and engineers must put their heart and soul in the work’, she said.
She further said that by giving the information programme to local leader, gramas officials, there is chance make the district as clean city.
On the occasion there was discussion on toilet construction for poor people.
