Udipi; August 08: Addressing the gathering in presidents and secretaries of milk producing sahakari sanghas meeting held on August 08, Thursday at Udipi Kidiyoor hotel, Raviraj Hegde, President of Dakshina Kannada milk producers vokkoota said in his address that this time Vokkoota is contemplating to start milk producing unit in the district and already obtained approval from the registrar and going for the tender and works in Mangalore unit has already been started, he said.
Besides he said this year we are producing cashew burfi and Rs 2 crore worth shares have been issued and even dividend also has been paid on it by the vokkoota.There are 122 milk producing units in the district and more than 54,00 liters of more milk has been collected after July, he added
He further said that on account of Ramzan festival 3, 49,000 litres of milk has been sold on 07.08.2013 and vokkoota has decided to start new milk producing unit in Uppoor in 5 acres of land from farmer’s welfare fund besides having kept attractive prizes on each product.
Directors like Jagadeesh Karanth, Kaup Diwakar Shetty, Sabladi Manjayya Shetty, Haddur Rajeeva Shetty, Neere Krishna Shetty, Vijayalaxmi, Dr B V Satyanarayan and Dr G V Hegde, organizer were present.
