Udupi; August 04: Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Zonal convention organized by Indian catholic youth movement (ICYM) at Don Bosco hall, udipi on August 04, Sunday, Pramodh Madhwaraj, MLA from Udipi said in his address that large number of youngsters, who are the actual assets of the country in future should come forward to engage themselves in social service activities.
“Christian community has also catered to the needs of economically downtrodden and under-privileged. The greatest challenge faced by today’s young generation is that they are unable to decide which path to take up and during what age. In this direction ICYM has been doing commendable job in channelizing the young people in right direction,”he added.
Rev. Fr.Fred Mascarenhas, Vicar, Udupi, in his presidential address said that “by rendering their services to the society young people should glow like lights. They should imbibe teachings of Jesus Christ in their day to day life and lead a virtuous life.”
Pramodh Madhwaraj has been felicitated on the occasion.
Rev Fr Alban D’Souza, Director, Zonal Committee, CYM, Roshan, Zonal President, Roy D’Souza, President, Udupi Division and Vivila, Secretary were present among others.
Members from Katapadi, Udyavar, Perampalli, Udupi, Moodubelle, Kuntalanagar parishes participated in the convention.
