Mangalore, August 4: St Christopher association (an association of Christian drivers and vehicle owners) organised their 46th general body meeting at Rosarion Cultural Hall at Rosario Church Mangalore, here on Sunday.
Rev. Dr .Aloysius Paul D’ Souza offered a Holy Mass at Rosario cathedral church and celebrated the mass with Fr. J.B. Crasta and Fr. Alwyn D’ Souza. After the Holy Mass more than 500 vehicles, which include cars, tempo, scooters, and bikes of the members were blessed by sprinkling Holy water on them.
Speaking on the occasion Mangalore Bishop, Rev Dr, Aloysius Paul D Souza said that there is love in the daily bread earners to their family by driving a vehicle and doing the hardest job of the day and wished that, may god bless their stream.
Chief Guest Walter D Souza said that to increase the membership and publish the purpose of the association, which will help the people to follow good behaviour in driving.
The 15 achievers of the association and their children had been honoured by the Bishop and Chief guests on the occasion.
Honorary president Susheel Noronha ,Treasurer and spiritual director Fr. J.B Crasta, President Victor Menezes, Secretary Herald D Souza, joint secretary Denis D Souza, Catholic Sabha president Neizel Periera, AICU vice president Lancy D Cunha and MACCO society president and vice presidents were present.
