Protest against Insult to Abbakka; Speaker must ask apology, otherwise Ullal bandh

Mangalore, Aug 4: ‘Without knowing about Abbakka, the speaker Kagodu Thimmappa insulted her, hence he must apologise  in front of people, or Minister U T Khader should do so on his behalf, otherwise we will stage a protest by calling the bandh, warned Rani Abbakka Festival committee president K Jayaram Shetty on Saturday August 3.


He was speaking in the protest against insulting words about Abbakka, staged under the aegis of Bharathiya janatha party, Mangalore unit, near Ullala Rani Abbakka circle, he said that being a responsible person speaker has insulted her by asking her contribution to nation. While MLAs Mohiudeen Bava and Shakuntala Shetty are praising Abbakka, Tulunadu and Tulu language, four ministers from Dakshina Kannada who were present when the speaker insulted Abbakka did not respond to the situation. This has given rise to suspicion,” he said.



Zilla panchayat member Santosh Kumar Rai Boliyaru, Seetaram Bangera,  Satish Kumar Kumpala, Balakrishna Banajalu, Jayashree, Rajeevi Kempumannu, Mohan shetty kinya, jeevan thokottu, ganesh kapikad, annayya kulal and sadananda bangera were present among other.
