Corporation Bank reaches out to masses to open Savings Accounts

Mangalore,July 31:Corporation Bank, Mangalore, organized a massive reaching-out-to-masses campaign in the city, according a press release.

To open Savings Accounts of public, bank launched a drive, ‘Hazaar Muskaane’, meaning ‘Thousand Smiles’, which aims at opening 1,000  new accounts per branch in all its 1,737 branches across the country between the period 15th July 2013 & 30th September 2013.    

 The door-to-door campaign for reaching out to the customers was kick-started by B K Srivastav, Executive Director of the Bank at the headquarters and in his initial remarks he emphasized the need for reaching out to masses and helping them open account with the Bank, so that they get a host of facilities, including direct benefit transfer of the Government. 

 ‘About 150 officials of the Bank were in the streets of Mangalore in the city, interacting with public, explaining to them about the services provided by the Bank and assisting them in opening accounts with the Bank.  The camps were conducted at nine important locations in the city, such as Pandeshwar, Kankanady / Jeppu, Kadri / Kodialbail, Bunder, Car Street, Poonja Arcade / Ram Bhavan Complex, M G Road / Ashok Nagar, Baikampady and B C Road. 

 Bank also focuses on improving its CASA [Current and Savings Accounts] and seeding the ‘Aadhaar’ Number into the Bank account will facilitate a customer to avail applicable government benefits like LPG subsidy, pension, scholarship, etc.

As such, the Bank offers various types of Savings Accounts, like ‘Corp Pragathi’, ‘Corp Saral’, ‘Corp Super’, ‘Corp Signature’, ‘Corp Classic’, ‘Corp Mahila Power’ & ‘Corp New Gen’ apart from the regular SB Account, catering to different types of customers by providing various facilities.

 K Giridhar Shenoy, General Manager, Dr. Kurian P Abraham, Deputy General Manager [Marketing & Publicity], D M Mujumdar, Deputy General Manager & Zonal Head of Mangalore Zone were present.
