Kundapur; July 30: Barite Nirman volunteer’s meet in the jurisdiction of Maravanthe village panchayat was held recently at Maravanthe Dr Dayananda pai Panchayat Soudha.
Smt.K A Suguna, President, village Panchayat has presided over the meet.
K Nagaraja Karantha, project trainer, after reviewing the activities of the group said that volunteers have already completed the survey of families in village and suggested to give inspiration, motivation for the proposed on coming activities.
Volunteers have been asked to motivate, encourage the people to attend Ward meet, Village meet and the general assessment meet. Able people should be encouraged to attend employment guarantee project and informed to organize self-help programmes in villages.
S.Janardhan, former president, while speaking on behalf of Panchayat said that volunteers should try to form a link between village panchayat, government and people.Smt Ashalatha Maravanthe, taluk co-coordinator has given some valuable suggestions. Harish Kumar Shetty, Development official has welcomed the gathering and proposed a vote of thanks.
Smt Anita has been appointed as president of volunteer’s group and Praveen as vice president,Smt Susheela as secretary,Smt Ashwini as joint secretary and Smt Saroja Shanbhag as treasurer and Smt Vanaja,Smt Akshaya,Smt Sharada Kharvi,Smt Savithri,Smt Vinodha and Smt Sudha B have been appointed as members of the team.
