Mangalore, Jul 22: The second year PUC students were allegedly dragged out of a bus and attacked near Yekkur here on Monday,July 22.
The youngsters have been identified as Moosa Mirshad (19) and Ramshid (19), residents of Hosangady and this incident has taken place when they were on their way to education centre, by Anjaneya bus no 43. The incident is suspected to be fallout of the protest that broke out in Kasargod over a comment on Facebook againt Prophet Mohammed.
It is said that more than 10 persons followed and dragged them out and attackedthem with rods and wickets. Mirshad and Ramshid, who were injured shifted to Wenlock hospital by their classmates. Some of the eyewitnesses claimed that one of assaulters was Sanjay, a resident of Jeppinamogeru. A case has been registered in the Mangalore rural police station.
