Mangalore: At Karnataka State committee meeting held in Bangalore on 13th March the CIP(M) has decided to contest from three constituency in DK district .
Vidhana Sabha election, will be held on May,5th’2013. The constituencies are; Mangalore South, Mangalore and Belthangadi.
The following is the list of candidates contesting:-
- Mangalore City South-Candidate:Mr.Vasanth Achary,B.A(Law),LLB,Lawyer,CPI(M) Karnataka State Committee Member,Dakshina Kannada District secretary Committee Member, One of the secretaries-CITU Labor union,Dakshina Kannada District chief secretary, Motor Transport & Engineering workers union chief secretary, One of the secretaries-Karnataka State Building & allied Labor Federation &District secretaries-District secretary-Youth Organization,(DYAFI)
- Mangalore-Candidate:- Mr.Krishnappa Salian,-President-Kotekar Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari Bank, Member of Dakshina Kannada secretary committee, District vice President, Karnataka State Farmers Sangha and Ex-District president of DYAFI.
- Belthangadi-Candidate:-B.M.Bhat,B.Com,LLB,Lawyer,Member of CPI(M) Dakshina Kannada secretary committee, One of the vice presidents of CITU Karnataka State committee, President of S.K.Beedi workers federation, President of Beedi workers Sangha,Belthangadi, and one of the vice presidents of Karnataka State Building and allied builders workers federation.
Mr.B.Madhava, Secretary, CPI (M) Dakshina Kannada committee has said in his speech that you have to elect and choose the right/able and sincere candidates who have been relentlessly fighting for the basic rights and to reach the voice of labour group, Farmers and common people in Vidhana sabha and solve the burning issues like minimum wage, house, accommodation, drinking water facility and ration card problem.
Mr.Shriyan, Vasanth Acharya, Krishnappa Salian and Sunil Bajal were present in the meet.
