Mangalore, July 14: Jawa-Yezdi motor club, Mangalore has organized an international Jawa day on July 14, Sunday at Kadri to commemorate 11th international Jawa day.
Across the globe this special occasion is being celebrated on second Sunday of July every year and rally of heavy metal vintage Jawa motor bikes will strike on the road on the day of celebration.
The rally was inaugurated .at city gate complex, Kadri and as many as 25 Jawa and Yezdi bikes participated in the rally and passed through various parts of the city.
Mangalore Jawa-Yezdi Motor club has been organizing the rally since 2007 in the city and in the first only three enthusiasts participated in the rally and number increased gradually to 15 the following year.
Jawa classic, Road king and Yezdi were part of the rally. The rally which started at Kadri and concluded at Kadri only. Rally passed through various parts of the city like Nanthoor,Circuit house,Bejai,Navabharath circle, K S Rao Road,Hampankatta,Falnir,Kankanady,Bendorewell and lower Bandore.
| City youth have always have sense of prestige to riding these vintage bikes. The participants and owners of the bikes remain committed to the Yezdi slogan”The forever bike, forever value”.
