Mangaluru, December 15: ‘Jnana Sathra’, two-day National Conclave of students was organised by the Board of Studies of ICAI under the aegis of the Mangaluru Branch of SIRC and SICASA of ICAI on Tuesday December 15th at TM Pai hall in the city.
K Raghu, former president of ICAI addressed the gathered and said, with the aim to make Indian CA’s to be the best in the world, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is ready with its new syllabus formed according to the current global needs. The syllabus has been placed before the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for clearance and is likely to be introduced in November 2016, he said.
International Financial Reporting Standards and various other issues are also incorporated in the syllabus, he said. CA students should derive inspiration from students like Prema Jayakumar, Yogish Mistry, and Harsha Bhattad who battled all odds to top in the exams, he said.
