Mangaluru, December 12: The Padil-Bajal railway underbridge, has been temporarily opened for traffic movement. The construction works here has been going on since a long time.
The local Corporator Vijaykumar Shetty speaking to the media, said that as the Kannur-Veeranagar road is under repair, the underbridge has been temporarily opened for traffic. To undertake repair works, the Kannur-Veeranagar road has been closed. So, to reduce inconvenience to the commuters, the Padil-Bajal underbridge has been opened temporarily. Some works on the underbridge are still pending. We intend to complete them by two months, he said.
Lights have been erected in the underbridge, but the MCC is yet to provide electricity connection. It would be done by today, he added.
Now it is expected that the underbridge works would completely get over by February 2016.
