Mangaluru, November 30: Three persons were attested by Bunder police on Sunday, November 29th for obstructing the police from discharging their duties, assaulted them and tried to kill them.
The arrested accused are identified as Manjoj Kumar (33), owner of a bar in the city, bar manager- Sundar (49), and supervisor- Ashok (36).
The Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner had recently passed orders to close all bars by midnight. Most of the bars have reportedly followed this order. But a bar in the city, is said to have violated this order, and despite repeated instructions, continued to violate them, it is said.
Bunder police sub-inspector, Nagesh, along with some police personnel’s, visited the bar late night on Saturday to ask them to follow the rules. The bar owner and other staff of the bar used abusive words against the police, assaulted and tried to kill them, it is said.
