Moodbidri, November 28: The stage at Alva’s Nudisiri in Vidyagiri witnessed a rare scene. The mastermind of Nudisiri Dr Mohan Alva too joined and put steps with the Lambani dance team that was presenting Banjara Dance.
The costume and culture of Banjara tribes are of unique kind and in the Vishwa Nudisiri last year, 100 Banjara dancers had participated. On this occasion, he remembered that students of Alva’s College too had presented Banjara dance in the country and abroad which had received appreciation.
Sevalal Sanghamela Lambani tribe from Sindhagi in Vijayapura taluk has been participating in the Nudisiri since the last two years. This team which has been presenting the Banjara dance in various places across the state is expecting additional support from the government.
