Health check-up of the parents of late Harish Poojary conducted following the orders of Health Minister UT Khader.

Mangaluru, November 19: Team of doctors and staffs from the Health Department led by District Health Officer Dr Ramakrishna Rao on Wednesday morning, November 18th, visited the house of late Harish Poojary, resident of Halegetu in Navoor village who was murdered recently, and conducted health check-up of the deceased Harish father Shrinivas Poojary, a cancer Patient and mother Seethamma who is depressed after the sad demise of their son.

Health Minister U T Khader visited the family of late Harish on Tuesday and directed the District Health Officer to conduct health check-up of the parents of Late Harish.

Following the order, team of doctors visited the house and conducted health check-ups of parents of late Harish. The DHO directed the taluk Health Officer to oversee until the health of both recovers. In addition, a nurse is also appointed from the local Primary Health Centre in Navoor whom he has asked to visit the house twice daily and provide treatment. With an intension of the health recovery of both, the District Health Department has taken measures to provide all the facilities in home itself, he said.

During the visit, Bantwal Town Panchayat  member Praveen B, Mangalore University Senate member Riyaz Hussain, Navoor Gram Panchayat member Sadananda, former member Khasim, DFWO Dr Sikander Pasha, District Surgeon Dr Rajeshwari Devi, Physician Dr Erappa, Taluk Health Officer Dr Deepa Prabhu, and Health Department staffs were present.
