Udupi: The Udupi taluk unit of Karnataka Pranta Krishi Kollikarara Sangha staged protest at  Taluk office demanding justice for poor who are who are home less.

Forwarding the memorandum to Chief Minister through Tahsildar, Udupi taluk unit Dogu Suvarana,   general secretary said that despite repeated attempts was failure to draw the attention of the government. He alleged that BJP government only assured fake pledges.





He added since August 2011 to January 2013, around 5786 applications have been forwarded to the government for nearly five times. But is of no use.

He  added that income remains the same and price of commodities in the market are drastically increasing. The worsened situation has made some three to four families to share the single house.

Udupi CMC was informed this earlier on December 21, 2012 but informed us that shortage of  land in Udupi city, is the reason.

He threatened the fight demanding houses to the homeless will be intensified, if government fails to take measures to offer shelter to the needy.
