Sisters commit suicide out of anger.

Uttarakannada, November 12: Two teenage sisters allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday November 11th after they were dissatisfied over the amount Rs 3,000 given by their mother to buy dresses for Diwali. The incident took place at Salkodu in Honnavar taluk in Uttara Kananda district.

The deceased are Sunitha (17) and Mangala (15). The girls were studying in Siddivinayaka High School, Kavalakki village. Sunitha was studying in 10th standard while Mangala was studying in 8th standard.

Both were found hanging from a tree near their house.

Children given loan amount of Rs 3,000 by mother:

As per the information available, the mother had given Rs 3,000 to both sisters to buy new clothes for Deepavali. But both the girls reportedly demanded more. The mother could not afford to give more. The two sisters out of anger, committed suicide by hanging themselves to a tree close by their house. The family was economically poor, it is learnt.

A Honnavar police have registered a case and further investigations are going on.
