Moodbidri, November 10: Bruglars attacked two workers of a shop with deadly weapons and snatched away Rs 5 lakhs on the night of Monday, November 9th at Pranthya in Moodbidri.
In the attack, Chandrashekar (60) and Pranesh (35) suffered serious injuries. The duos worked for Parkar Saheb, a famous grocery shop owner at Moodbidri.
It is gathered that since years, Pranesh and Chandrashekar were working for the shop. After closing the shop, they were taking cash from the shop to the owner’s house by scooter. The burglars in a car followed the scooter for some time and later collided to the scooter from behind after which both of them fell down.
Later the occupants of the car attacked the two men with deadly weapons and snatched away around Rs 5 lakhs from them, it is learnt.
The injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
A case has been registered at Moodbidri police station.
