Madoor Isubu’s family demands Rs 50 lakhs compensation

Mangaluru, November 9: The family of underworld element, Madoor Isubu, who was recently murdered in sub-jail here by jail inmates, met state home minister, Dr G Parameshwar, at the Circuit House on Sunday November 8th and demanded compensation of Rs 50 lakhs. They also demanded that family of Ganesh Shetty, who was also murdered inside the jail on the same day, may also be paid a similar compensation.

The family of Madoor Isubu said that due to the negligence of jail officials, two undertrails Madoor Isubu and Ganesh Shetty were murdered in sub-jail.  They insisted that they are eligible for payment of compensation as the government was guilty of lapses in this incident. They also demanded for thorough investigation into the incident.

The brothers of Madoor Isubu brought to the notice of home minister a copy of a memorandum that was earlier submitted to the city police commissioner here, by Isubu’s wife, Jaseema Firdous, demanding additional security to Isubu as he was facing life threat.

Brothers of Madoor Isubu namely, Mohiuddin, Abdul Rahim, Hamid, Mohidin, Ahmed Bava, and sister, Zeenat Banu, were present.
