Mangaluru, November 7: A lorry collided to auto rickshaw killing its driver on the spot on NH-66 at Uchilagudde under Ullal police jurisdiction on the city outskirts on Friday November 6th.
Mohammed Rafiq (45) from Gurpur, resident of KC Road in Talapady is the deceased.
It is learnt that, Rafiq was operating his auto rickshaw from Someshwar railway station. At about 4.30 am on Friday, while Rafiq was going from KC Road to Someshwar to park his vehicle there, a speeding lorry rammed to his autorickshaw at Uchilagudde, killing Rafiq on spot. The lorry laden with fish was plying from Mangaluru to Kerala.
Rafiq is survived by his wife, a son and three daughters.
A case stands registered at Ullal police station.
