Udupi; Dalit Sangarsha Samiti district level meet was mainly concentrated on the priest who left the rituals of marriage without performing as the marriage was of Dalith community and they demanded the marriage hall owner should be held responsible for the whole incident at Gangolly . Above all they blamed the police department why that the priest was given enough time arrange for bail.
They demanded the department should lodge complaint against the hall owners and the cleaners too.

Most of the cases concerning Dalits in Kundapur sub-division are ignored by issuing the B-reports. They also threatened to sue the DySP in High Court if she continues to biased to Dalit community.
Santhosh Kumar Additional SP assured a meeting for the marriage hall owners . He also told that he would inform higher authorities to instruct Kundapur DySP to seek proper actions against the cases registered by the Dalits.
Dalith leaders also demanded Narayana Poojary who had assaulted Dalit women in connection with compound wall dispute in Byndoor. Poojari should be charged against atrocity they claimed.
Jayan Malpe also stressed on the inquiry over the death of a Dalit man in Padubidri. The case says that it is an accident but it seems to be a murder. The family members are misguided.
He said there are thousands of fake SC/ST certificates in the district. The fake certificates are given to the people who are migrated. The certificate issued from past 10 year should be rechecked.
