Udupi: A 13 year old minor boy was rescued from his work in a milk booth near DC office on Saturday afternoon.
The child name was identified as Kumar Naikas. He is from Shikharipura, Shimoga and the reason for his work is known as poverty and his mother was sick. The Milk booth said to belong to Oswald D’souza.
The district labour department raided the booth and took him to the rehabilitation center named Spoorthi, the FIT institution in Kedur in Koteshwara, a special residential school for child labourers.
The District Labor Officer Devarj said the boys age will be confirmed on Monday by KMC Hospital . He had joined the milk outlet around two days ago.
