Mangaluru, October 20: If one has any sort of urgent work at government offices or any banks, it would be better to finish it off by tomorrow otherwise people may need to wait for five or six days to get their work done.
The banks and government offices may resume work on coming Monday on the account of Dassara celebrations. On Thursday, Ayudha pooja, Friday- Viajyadashami, Saturday- Moharam and on Sunday is a weekly off. Although the banks and government offices will be opened on Monday; Tuesday is a holiday on account of Valmiki Jayanthi. In case, the government employees apply for leave on Monday, they will get a continuous six days leave.
As Ayuddha Pooja will be celebrated on Thursday, in the government offices, the poojas will be performed from Wednesday onwards. Hence, it is doubtful that the works will be carried out for full day.
The bank works must be finished on Tuesday or Wednesday. As there are continuous holidays, it is wise not to trust the ATM’s.
