Moodbidri, October 9: A flower merchant was murdered by a group of men on the morning of Friday October 9th near his shop located near Samaja Mandir Gate in the town.
The deceased has been identified as Prashant (29), a resident of Hosabettu village. It is said that Prashant was an active member of pro-Hindu outfits.
At around 7am, when Prashant was bringing stock of fresh flowers to his shop, a gang attacked him with lethal weapons near auto stand located close to his shop.
Although seriously injured Prashant was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru, he failed to respond to the treatments and breathed his last.
