Mangaluru, September 26: At a total cost of Rs 21 lakhs, seven new houses built for the poor, by St Vincent De Paul Society, Bondel were inaugurated at Acchukody, Pachanady here on Saturday September 26th.
Fr Andrew D’Souza, parish priest of Bondel Church blessed the homes.
Presiding over the ceremony, Fr Andrew D’Souza congratulated the office-bearers of St Vincent De Paul Society on taking up such a noble cause. I thank members of St Vincent De Paul Society and donors without whom this noble task would not have been possible, he said.
The gathering was welcomed by Prakash Pinto, president of St Vincent De Paul Society while Neris Dais, secretary of SSVP proposed the vote of thanks.
Fr Jason Monis, Henbert Pinto, vice-president, Wilfred Alvares, secretary, were present among others on this occasion.
