To visit Holy Land Jerusalem, memorandum submitted seeking grant from government.

Mangaluru, September 16: Urging for government grant to visit Holy Land Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Mount Sinai in Africa, the Christian leaders submitted a memorandum to MLA JR Lobo, chairman of legislative committee on the welfare of backward classes and minorities on Wednesday, September 16th.

The MLA JR Lobo received the memorandum and assured of taking appropriate actions after discussing this with government.

 

The delegation that submitted the memorandum comprised of Jayakar Samartha, representing CSI, Karnataka South, Dr Suranjan Maben, Sashipal Shettiyan and Fr J B Crasta- parish priest of Holy Rosary Cathedral, MP Noronha- Secretary of diocese committee, Fr William Menezes, Anil Lobo, Stanley Alwares- former Chairman of Maand Sobaan and others.

Bishop ‎Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza and the CSI Karnataka diocese bishop Mohan Manoraj have written to the government seeking for the grant.
